Parasailing Information
Everything you need to know before you go Parasailing!
Parasailing is an enjoyable, relaxing, and exciting ride that flies you to new heights in the sky. The take-off and landing are dry, gentle, and safe for all ages. We do have a totally optional toe dip into the water which is also very smooth and safe. Our captains are highly trained and experienced with parasailing safety.
Here are 10 safety tips you should ask before parasailing
- Have you ever had any accidents or insurance claims? Never have we had an insurance claim or accident
- Do you have an A rated insurance carrier? We have AAA rated insurance with $1 million public liability
- How long have you been in the parasail business? We’ve been operating since 1999 making us the longest owned and operated business in the area.
- How long has your captain been a parasail operator? (not just a captain) See our “meet the crew” page
- How old is your rope? We change our ropes at least every year, as per USCG recommendation.
- What is the weather like today? Sorry, but we won’t fly when we consider it dangerous.
- At what weather points do you stop parasailing operations? Winds over 20 mph mean we cannot guarantee your safety, and if the swell is 6 feet or extremely choppy we will not compromise safety
- What happens if something goes wrong? All our crew have been trained in water rescue and receive regular refresher courses.
- Are you a member of PAPO (Professional Association of Parasail Operators) or WSIA? Yes - see our certificate in the office.
- How high will I be? We let out 800ft of line which will put you at a vertical height of approximately 500ft - the highest we can fly under FAA regulations.
Here are some questions you should ask yourself
- Is the weather o.k. for parasailing? When in doubt just don't go out..
- Have they answered the above questions to your liking? We hope we have.
